FAQs
What is Equity Marketing?
"Equity Marketing" is the art of improving a client's personal situation by exchanging current property ownership benefits for an improved set of benefits, as defined by them, to be realized from the process.
Who is an ideal candidate to attend a FREE Marketing Meeting and join FREE?
If you own real estate, are active in the real estate profession, would like to network and learn creative ways to exchange and transact properties, we think you can greatly benefit from our sessions. Some of our current members include real estate owners, investors, licensed professionals (realtors & brokers), developers, asset managers, financiers (including hard money lenders), consultants and educators. We’re here to make deals happen and look beyond the “all cash” or bank financing as the only means to consummate a transaction.
What type of assets do you trade or exchange?
Cash, homes/condos, multi-family properties, agricultural land, dirt, developments, hotels/motels, industrial assets, retail/commercial plazas, mobile homes/RVs, ranches, resorts, office buildings, paper, subdivisions, and personal property.
What’s the minimal deal size considered for a Marketing Session?
There isn’t a minimum or a maximum price that you can present at one of our Sessions. If you (or your client) have real estate equity or personal property that you’d like to use and exchange or trade up for something else, you can present it to the group. Even if a deal isn’t made at the moment, you might find new ideas and creative solutions to your “problems.”
How often and where does FREE hold meetings?
Our state-wide in-person meetings are held four times a year, throughout Florida. We also work with and support our affiliated local exchange groups, you can learn more about them by reaching out to someone from our leadership team.
What’s up with the fees? Shouldn’t “FREE be free?
Different to most real estate events, conferences or meet-ups, our annual membership and event registration fees are used exclusively to the benefit of FREE members and the attendees at our events. We do not profit or benefit in any way from these fees; conversely, we hope to do many deals at our Marketing Sessions that benefit all of us. If there’s any surplus at the end of the year, we’ll use the funds to make an even bigger holiday party.
Important reminder to our new attendees or members:
We hope that you can join us at our next Marketing Session so we can do some deals together. FREE has been able to stay around this long thanks to its members and their commitment to integrity, professionalism, and seriousness. The Board of Directors, at it sole discretion, reserves the right to revoke the membership of any member or ask you to leave the room, at any time and for any reason, especially if you can’t abide by our code of ethics, intentionally misrepresent material facts or try to engage in any illegal practices. By attending any of our events, you’re agreeing to abide by our Code of Ethics.
